It’s Friday again and another week has come and will soon be gone. Panzer has been sniffing around his RSS feeds in between plurking and twittering his updates. Here’s a snapshot of what’s happening on some of the personal finance blogs tracked by Panzer.
Get Rich Slowly has a guest post on The Non-Conformist’s Guide to Personal Finance which reads like a breath of fresh air. Chris Guillebeau gives his take relating to personal finance such as not getting into debt to finance your higher education, that your home is more a liability than an asset (which may not be so applicable in Singapore) and about investing in yourself. He also shares about avoiding bank overdraft fees which can be a killer to getting rich slowly.
Kevin Purdy shares 10 ways to trick yourself into saving money such as freezing your credit cards literally and imposing a cool-off period before you decide to reward yourself with that gadget or handbag.
Frugal Trader at the Million Dollar Journey gives his May 2008 personal net worth update. Talk about honesty in disclosing his finances!
Trent from The Simple Dollar gives his take on building up passive income sources, something I too share in my posts discussing blog monetisation.
There are tonnes and tonnes of resources out there in the internet on personal finance that makes a lot of sense to me. I’ll be updating my feeds bit by bit with more interesting blogs/websites/bloggers on personal finance.
As ever, have a good weekend and be well and prosper.
