I am reading Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s (NNT) book [reserved from our excellent public libraries at an investment of $1.55] , “The Black Swan: The Impact of the High Improbable” after seeing La Papillion’s review of the book. I’ve reached the 40% stage of his book and am quite amazed at how history is proving how uncanny his views are. Iin the light of sub-prime crisis leading to the current credit crisis, even Singapore is not spared as we appear to be heading for a recession with a bear market is stocks.
A review will be posted up once I’ve finished reading his book and I’ll concentrate more on how we can move forward in times like this given his thoughts in “The Black Swan”.
In the meantime, check out this article in Bloomberg (opens to a PDF document) on NNT and Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s website.
Be well and prosper.
